The UK’s most iconic seaside destination has been showcased to visitors at the Holiday World Show Dublin.
Blackpool was delighted return to the World Travel Show in Dublin this year - its first appearance at the event in a quarter of a century. The resort was represented by a delegation including Blackpool Tourism Limited, VisitBlackpool, Ruskin Hotel & Suites, and Waterside Hotels, all joining forces to reintroduce prospective visitors to everything the UK’s most famous seaside town has to offer.
The Holiday World Show Dublin, one of Ireland’s most influential consumer travel events, offered a prime platform for Blackpool to reconnect with the Irish market. With excellent transport links, family‑friendly attractions, and a portfolio of quality accommodation, Blackpool aims to position itself as a top choice for Irish holidaymakers seeking fun, affordability, and unforgettable experiences.
Kate Shane MBE, Managing Director for Blackpool Tourism Ltd, said: “We were thrilled to return to Dublin after 25 years. Blackpool has evolved significantly, and this was the perfect moment to reintroduce the resort to Irish travellers. We’re here to show that Blackpool is not only the UK’s most iconic seaside destination, but also one of the most exciting, welcoming, and value‑packed places for Irish families, couples, and groups to visit.”
The delegation highlighted the resort’s ongoing transformation - its upgraded hotels, world-class events, award‑winning attractions, and major investment projects that continue to reshape the town.
From the iconic Blackpool Tower and Illuminations to world-class attractions and a year-round free events programme, the team will presented new and compelling reasons to visit Blackpool.
Representatives from the Ruskin Hotel & Suites and Waterside Hotels were on hand to promote the resort’s diverse accommodation offering, while VisitBlackpool and Blackpool Tourism Limited will led on showcasing the town’s events calendar, attractions, and visitor experiences.
