Ride The Lights’ on 26th August 2008 and enjoy a sneak preview of Blackpool’s World Famous Illuminations on a traffic free Promenade.
‘Ride the Lights’ is a free event, and open to everyone. Ride for fun or ride for charity, its up to you!
Between 8pm and 10pm, get on your bike to ride a section of the 'Lights' between Starr Gate and Red Bank Road
You are welcome to start the ride at any point along the Promenade, and ride as much or as little of the route as you are able
Light my Ride
As you get your bike to ride the lights, why not join the creative fun by designing your very own illuminations display on your bike?
Decorate your ride with colourful lights, lamps and lanterns to show off your own illuminated design ideas.
Safety Message
Ride the Lights is a free to enter fun ride open to all. All cycles MUST have a minimum of one white light at the front and one red light at the back. It is highly recommended that all participants should wear cycle helmets
A responsible adult must accompany all children under 16
Please note certain sections of the lights may not be in operation for this special preview
