Illuminations switch on One of the biggest events in Blackpools calendar, the Illuminations Switch-on, takes place in the Radio 2 Arena just off the Golden Mile.

The 2007 switch-on celebrity, David Tennant pulled the famous switch to start one of the greatest free light shows in the world. His appearance on stage followed the free to watch concert sponsored by Radio 2. Over the past couple of years, artists performing at this memorable evening have included; Natasha Bedingfield, Ronan Keating, McFly, Duncan James, Paolo Nutini and Natalie Imbruglia to name but a few!

On Sunday evening take your places on Central Promenade where you will see the first night of the spectacular World Firework Championships.
